| Marianne A. |
Marianne is the mother of two
elementary-aged children, so there is never enough time to read, but more
than there used to be! She enjoys fiction, science-fiction/fantasy,
children's literature and is branching out into memoirs and non-fiction.
After 8 years of teaching high school and 10 years of raising her children
she is very happy to play hooky and work at the bookshop. |
| Maria B. |
Maria loves loves loves to read! She'd
rather read than cook or clean...ask her husband...she has been known to
give her three daughters cereal for dinner so she could finish a good book.
And hey, they grew up fine! When not reading she is walking the dog or
working at the bookshop or sleeping.

| Barbara C. |
Barb was born with a book
in her hand. She loved the magic in the books her parents read to her.
As she got older, biographies and mysteries became her favorites.
Laura Ingalls Wilder books, biographies of historical women and, of course,
Nancy Drew books were her books of choice. She still enjoys mysteries
and biographies.
Working in Newtown Bookshop has allowed her to expand to books of
all kinds. She loves to recommend books and to hear from customers
about the books they've read.

| Susan S. |
Susan is the mother of three grown
children so she now has time to read almost as much as she would like (too
many books, too little time). Good with suspense, contemporary
fiction, classics, some biography and memoirs and some teen fiction.
In the past, she has worked in the sales office of a publishing company, in
youth ministry for a church, and for a Christian bookstore. She
especially enjoys the friendly atmosphere at the Bookshop and the
opportunities to talk about books which is one reason she sometimes
facilitates the monthly evening book club.

| Grant S. |
Grant seeks out and aspires towards
expertise in knowing the undercurrent of literary writing. He stays
familiar with the best sellers, classics and kid's books. His
preference is for books with cult followings; noir, satires, authors with
agendas, philosophy with doses of sarcasm. No matter the genre, he
seeks quality and the weird. From dark and comic complex fiction, to
compassionate and deviant creative nonfiction, his goal is to know an author
you haven't heard of and get you hooked to his brand of dark and shiny
literature. |
| Christie J. |
Christie is a freshman in college and may be back with
us in the summer. She reads mainly teen fiction, but also loves historical fiction and the
classics. She is an expert of the "Ages 12 and up" section and
would be happy to recommend a book for anyone in middle or high school.
She tends to lean toward books with a slightly supernatural theme but is
happy with any good book. |
| Kelly W. |
Kelly is a graduating high school
senior attending Council Rock High School South. She has worked at the
Newtown Bookshop since September of 2008 and loves it. Even as a young
girl, Kelly was as avid a reader as she is now. Her interests are vast
and include music, opera, vocal performance, creative writing, interior
design, animals, politics, nature and travel. She's read many
wonderful books; you can view her favorites and read her reviews on the
Staff Picks wall at the shop. Stop in for a recommendation or just to
say hello! |

| Eileen Y. |
I am the mother of six children and
grandmother of eleven. I have always loved to read and after retiring
from Council Rock I needed to get out of the house and see people. What
better way to do that than in a book shop that is all about people? I
have found that my love of reading enables me to talk about and suggest
books that someone may not have thought of.
