ABOUT THE BOOK

This is 25 year old poet Emily Reese's first book made exclusively for children! This book is full of poems for elementary and middle school students. Some of the poems are serious while others are kooky and silly! She hopes that it will inspire children to start writing poetry, as she started when she was only eleven years old. It's not about how "good" your poetry is because that is all subjective anyway. It's about how you feel when you write. 

ABOUT THE POET

Emily Reese has been writing poetry since childhood, starting at just 11 years old. Now, she juggles a full time college career with her writing. She thinks her purpose as a poet is to inspire more people to write poetry because anyone can be a poet! In this book, she focuses on inspiring the younger generation, even including lined pages at the end to encourage kids to start writing right away!
